Door Dash:
Super Bowl

“We love it so much, we want to put it on the Super Bowl.” It’s the kind of thing you only dream of a client saying. But in this case, it came true. With our “Every Flavor Welcome” campaign, we helped make DoorDash the category leader in restaurant delivery. But in mid-2020, they came to us with an evolving business and sights set on delivering way more than food, from right down the street. Enter the gang from Sesame Street and Daveed Diggs, showcasing everything you can get from the people in your neighborhood in a series of spots directed by Michel Gondry.

The Super Bowl spot below was covered on the Today Show, Good Morning America, in The Wall Street Journal, People Magazine, InStyle and hundreds of additional publications. It was a Super Clio Finalist, was named a top 5 spot by CNN, top 3 by AdWeek, top 5 by Billboard, “Best Super Bowl Ads” by CBS News, and was #11 on the USA Today Ad Meter, #2 for newcomers, and #1 Most Heartwarming. Plus, we got to sing “Happy Birthday” to Cookie Monster on set. Truly a dream project.

We ran this during the AFC Championship game and during Super Bowl Sunday pre-game to tease our in-game spot and encourage DoorDash orders.

Super Bowl Spot.

In the Super Bowl spot DoorDash promised to donate $1 per order to Sesame Workshop, up to $1 million. They hit that goal almost immediately.
